NI bankruptcy figures rise dramatically

The number of businesses going bust in the North has risen by over a third.

Department of Trade and Industry figures show that over 1,000 bankruptcy orders were made in the year to September.

Employment statistics also show the numbers claiming unemployment benefit in October rose by over 1,000.
