NIB to meet with Aer Lingus unions and management
Efforts to avoid industrial action at Aer Lingus are to get underway at Government Buildings this lunchtime.
Unions and management have been invited into the discussions by the National Implementation Body - the main troubleshooting mechanism under social partnership.
SIPTU staff at the airline is threatening strike action if the company presses ahead with a controversial cost-cutting plan, which aims to save over €70m and could see up to 1,500 jobs outsourced.
