ISEQ up 5%
The ISEQ index of Irish shares was valued at 2,975.82 at 11am this morning, an increase of 149.08 points or 5.27%.
All of the major banks rose - Anglo Irish Bank was up 14c to €2.14, Bank of Ireland up 7c to €1.69, Irish Life & Permanent was up 15c to €2.60 while AIB was the biggest riser, up 37c to €4, an increase of 10%.
Shares in C&C were up 26c to €1.42 after the confirmation of John Dunsmore as new CEO, DCC was up 76c to €13.22 following the announcement of results, Elan was up 48c to €5.55 while Kingspan was up 19c to €4.55.
