SEI report shows energy efficiency savings of €55m
Energy efficiency savings worth €55m have been made by some of the country's largest companies.
The annual report from Sustainable Energy Ireland shows that companies whose energy use accounts for more than a tenth of the country's primary energy needs made the savings last year by following energy management programmes devised by SEI.
The savings are the equivalent to taking 100,000 cars off Irish roads and represent a 7% gain in energy efficiency for the year.
