ISEQ down 32 points in morning trading
The ISEQ index of Irish shares was down 32 points this morning to 3,787.35 by 11am.
It was mostly negative news for the financial heavyweights, AIB lead the way falling 19c to €6.21. Bank of Ireland dropped 9c off its share price to €4, with Irish Life and Permanent down 6c to €5.84. Bucking the negative trend was Anglo Irish Bank, gaining 26c to €4.42, and coming out on top as the morning's best performer.
Elsewhere, there were no gains within the construction sector, Grafton fell 9c to €3.53, Kingspan was down 10c to €6.60 with McInerney falling a modest 4c to 33c per share. CRH plummeted 48c to €16.36 suffering the biggest fall on the ISEQ index in morning trading.
