English firm 'interested in Cappoquin Chickens'
English poultry company Derby Poultry Products (DPP) is today understood to be interested in a takeover of troubled poultry firm Cappoquin Chickens.
Representatives of DPP, which considered buying a share in the firm two months ago, have met the liquidator and former management of the Waterford company.
The Irish Farmers’ Association is hoping for a positive outcome, but claimed today that the future of Cappoquin Chickens does not look bright.
Cappoquin Chickens has been operating for nearly 50 years and employs more than 200 people.
