ISEQ on the up

The ISEQ index of Irish shares was up this morning, rising 149.94 points to 4627.14.

The financial institutions were among those to prosper from the move into positive territory.

AIB jumped €0.43 to €9.08 while Anglo were up €0.22 to €6.03.

IL&P, who announced the appointment of Liam O’Reilly as a non-executive director at 11am today, climbed €0.28 to €6.58.

BoI also took advantage of the positive mood on the trading floor and increased by €0.27 to €5.78.
