Electrical retailer Currys today signalled the demise of the commission based salesman by introducing a new bonus scheme in its 17 stores nationwide.

“Individual commission based selling is old hat,” said Declan Ronayne, managing director of DSG Retail Ireland.

“Nowadays, it’s as important to support our customers after the sale as during it and that’s why our store bonus schemes will apply from now on to every single person working in our stores.

“We believe that’s a very attractive proposition for someone shopping at Currys. What’s more, this new reward scheme promises to help us attract and retain even more talented people into our organisation.”
