Dun Laoghaire Harbour Company reports 370% rise in profits

The Dun Laoghaire Harbour Company is reporting profits of €10.4m for 2007 - a 370% rise.

This figure includes a one-off unrealised profit of €7.3m from the sale of land.

While overall turnover rose by 4.2% to €10.7m, shipping turnover fell by 2%.

The company has confirmed it has appointed consultants to carry out a design study and a financial evaluation of a proposed new 900-berth public marina at the harbour.
