Farmers protest against proposed WTO beef deal

Farmers are protesting at Government Buildings in Dublin today to voice their opposition to a proposed deal on beef at the World Trade Organisation talks.

The Irish Farmers Association is claiming EU Trade Commissioner Peter Mandelson is selling-out European agriculture.

IFA National livestock chairman Michael Doran insisted that both Irish livestock farmers and consumers have a lot to lose if the deal goes through.
