Canadian firm to invest €625m in NI aircraft plant
An investment of over €625m is being made in the North by Canadian aerospace company Bombardier, which is to use its Belfast plant for the design and manufacture of wings for a new generation of commuter aircraft.
The massive investment – the largest ever made by a single company in the North follows the decision by Bombardier, announced at the Farnborough International Airshow today, to start production of a revolutionary new family of 110 – 130 seat commuter jets.
