YouTube ordered to release user details
A US judge has ordered the popular online video-sharing service YouTube to disclose who watches the website’s video clips and when.
Dismissing privacy concerns, Judge Louis L Stanton – sitting in New York - authorised full access to the YouTube logs after Viacom and other copyright holders argued that they needed the data to show whether their copyright-protected videos are more heavily watched than amateur clips.
