There were fresh signs of financial woe today as figures revealed the UK economy grew more slowly than first thought in the opening three months of the year.

New figures have today revealed that the UK economy grew more slowly than first thought in the opening three months of the year.

The UK's Office for National Statistics (ONS) revised its original estimations for GDP growth in the first three months of the year down to 0.3% from 0.4%.
