Digiweb speeds up recruitment plans

Telecoms company Digiweb is bringing forward plans to recruit 200 new staff.

The Dublin-based company first announced the recruitment drive for more than 200 new staff in March 2007 following the launch of their new data centre and Blanchardstown offices and has already recruited more than 70 staff.

Digiweb said it had another 40 vacant positions, mainly in IT and sales, that they would like to fill over the summer months.

Digiweb boss Colm Piercy said: "We’ve had to create a number of new positions to ensure that we meet targets for building our mobile broadband network, the development of our hosting and data centre services and assist us in our plans to enter new markets."
