One hundred and thirty people are set to lose their jobs in Cork following the collapse of an electronics firm that has been operating in the city for more than 30 years.

One hundred and thirty people are set to lose their jobs in Cork following the collapse of an electronics firm that has been operating in the city for more than 30 years.

A receiver was appointed to Hormann Electronics last week after it fell into financial difficulty.

Staff were informed today that their jobs cannot be saved.

Twenty people are due to remain on the payroll until the end of the month.
