ISEQ records 20-point fall in morning trading
The ISEQ index of shares is more than 20 points down in morning trading.
The Dublin Stock Exchange stands at 6,352.37 after a fall of 22.63 points, despite significant gains from Elan, DCC and Paddy Power.
The business services group DCC has recorded a 26c increase to stand at €15.50, pharmaceutical firm Elan is up 27c to €17.90 and Paddy Power climbed 37c to €23.38.
Smurfit Kappa also recorded a rise, up 20c to €7.45, but the good news stopped there as the financials had a negative morning.
Anglo Irish Bank fell 11c to €9.20, AIB were down two cents to €13.40 and Irish Life and Permanent dipped 14c to €11. Bank of Ireland were down 12c to €8.69.
Insurance firm FBD Holdings tumbled 18c to €25.80 while construction firm CRH slipped 10c to €23.65.
