More than 60 full and part-time workers have lost their jobs following a decision by furniture shop Habitat to close its stores in Dublin and Galway.

More than 60 full and part-time workers have lost their jobs following a decision by furniture shop Habitat to close its stores in Dublin and Galway.

The company that runs the businesses here, Conaí Designs, said it was forced to make the decision because of a severe down-turn in sales.

This morning's Irish Times reports that the firm has now applied for voluntary liquidation.
