Beamish installs €1.5m refrigeration system
Beamish & Crawford has begun the final phase of a €1.5m capital investment programme in a new refrigeration plant at its brewery in Cork.
When the plant is in operation, it will lead to increased operational efficiencies, productivity and a substantial reduction in greenhouse carbon emissions.
The new plant is currently being installed, with the main works expected to be completed in the next two months.
This latest activity at Cork’s oldest brewery is the final phase of an overall capital investment programme of €15m, which included the installation of a new bottling line and kegging line in recent years.
Beamish & Crawford, once part of Scottish & Newcastle, has been taken over by the Dutch brewery Heineken.
