Future of Iralco jobs should become clearer today
The future of more than 400 jobs at the Iralco plant in Co Westmeath should become clearer today.
Unions representing the staff are meeting with the liquidator again to discuss the possibility of keeping the plant running in the hope of attracting a new buyer.
The factory in Collinstown went into liquidation earlier this week due to financial difficulties.
Junior Enterprise Minister Billy Kelleher says the Government is doing all it can to save the jobs and will consider providing support for a possible management buy-out.
