Connemara extend drilling programme following positive results
Connemara Mining extended a drilling programme at Lough Sheelin following initial positive results.
Positive indicators extended the drilling programme at the Cavan site ensuring that 11 drill holes were completed instead of the originally planned five. Results have been received on two on the drill holes with samples from a further five currently undergoing laboratory testing.
John Teeling, chairman of Connemara Mining, commented: “We are very excited with our drilling at Lough Sheelin. Historic data led us to expect to encounter Zinc, but we are pleased with the extent and type of mineralisation. The original 5-hole programme was repeatedly extended to follow the discovery. On receipt and analysis of the remaining drill results we will decide on a follow up programme.”
