US media firm to create 30 jobs in Dublin
A US media firm has opened its new office in Dublin with the creation of more than 30 jobs.
EyeWonder Inc, a provider of online video and rich media advertising products and services, has located it sales and customer support operation in the capital to enhance its European business.
Minister for Employment Micheal Martin said EyeWonder was the first company within the digital media space sector to locate in Ireland.
The firm, which has its headquarters in Atlanta, Georgia, is currently recruiting its new Irish workforce to develop its product with advertisers and agencies.
“The company represents the high value added activities associated with this industry,” said Mr Martin.
“I would like to assure EyeWonder and other online based companies that this Government is committed to supporting, developing and investing in the Digital media sector in Ireland.
“Ireland is the location of choice for many of the world’s most advanced internet and digital content companies and I am confident that EyeWonder will be a valuable contributor to the future direction of Ireland’s digital media industry.”
EyeWonder’s Barry Bedford said the company evaluated a number of European locations for the new centre, but chose Dublin due to the availability of skilled personnel with experience of both online and offline European advertising industry coupled with Ireland’s business environment and the cluster of technology and media trading companies within the sector.
“We have established this sales and customer support operation to provide a better service to our international customers, and Dublin offers an ideal location due to its excellent infrastructure, multi-lingual capability, highly skilled workforce and ease of doing business,” he added.
