Building experts' report to address population growth
A new report addressing Ireland’s population growth and the challenges it poses will be launched today by professionals in the construction sector.
Spatial development, local governance and the environment are all examined in the document to be unveiled in Cork by Urban Forum.
Entitled 'Twice the Size? Imagineering the Future of Irish Gateways,' the report also examines a range of future options for gateways within a national context, using scenarios to help planners and decision-makers to test policies and decisions against alternative futures that could emerge.
Urban Forum is made up of five key organisations representing construction professionals in Ireland including Engineers Ireland (IEI), Irish Landscape Institute (ILI), Irish Planning Institute (IPI), Royal Institute of the Architects of Ireland (RIAI) and the Society of Chartered Surveyors (SCS).
