The ISEQ-index of Irish shares was boosted by 124.09 points to 6279.68 this morning.

The ISEQ-index of Irish shares was boosted by 124.09 points to 6279.68 this morning.

The major financial heavyweights surged with AIB leading the way reporting a 44c gain to€13.79. IL&P jumped 35c to €10.90, Anglo was up 27c at €8.88. Bank of Ireland climbed 19c to €9.39.
