Up to 900 jobs could be created at Dublin Airport with the planned €130m development of a four star hotel and multi-storey car park linked directly to the airport’s new passenger terminal T2.

The Dublin Airport Authority (DAA) expect 550 jobs to be created during the construction phase of the project and when opened, the new hotel is expected to employ about 350 staff.

Plans for the new hotel, which will have up to 470 bedrooms, and the linked multi-storey car park with up to 2,900 spaces, have been submitted by the DAA to An Bord Pleanála in recent weeks.

The project will be developed in conjunction with Northern property developer and design and build contractor McAleer & Rushe.
