Weak building shares dampen market moods
A dull morning for building companies seems to have dampened the mood on the trading floor today as shares on the ISEQ-index lost 83.50 points by 11.30 am to stand at 6435.62.
The biggest loser, building materials group CRH, led the downward spiral shedding a whopping 85c off its share price, stocks at the construction giant now stand at €24.80.
Elsewhere fruit distributor Fyffes managed to steer clear of any major ructions as chief executive Jimmy Tolan announced his intention to move to healthcare group Vhi in April.
Shares at the banana company lost just 1c off their value at 93c.
