ISEQ stumbles to a close
The ISEQ index of Irish shares closed in negative territory this evening dropping 42.29 points to 6495.39 at market close.
Bank of Ireland was the only financial heavyweight to make a slight gain of 6c to €9.51. The rest all suffered a loss with AIB down 11c to €13.79 and Irish Life and Permanent falling 23c to €10.26. Anglo Irish Bank followed suit dropping 23c off it's share price to €8.84.
Significant losses elsewhere included Elan Corporation, plummeting 60c to €16.53. CRH, however bucked the negative trend gaining 20c to €26. Kingspan fell a modest 2c to €9.13 and McInerney remained static at €1.57.
