UK transport group Go-Ahead reports higher profits
Transport group Go-Ahead today said a strong performance from its bus division helped lift underlying pre-tax profits by more than 14% to £58.3m (€78.3m).
The Newcastle-based group’s higher-than-expected surplus for the six months to December 29 came after revenues rose 12.3% to £1.03bn (€1.38bn).
Go-Ahead operates more than 3,600 buses and a rail division based on the Southern, Southeastern and London Midland franchises. It also has an aviation arm responsible for cargo and baggage handling and passenger check-in.
