Inflation fears put pressure on FTSE
Inflation fears and nerves ahead of the forthcoming banking results season combined to depress the London market today.
The FTSE 100 Index stood 15 points lower at 5769 by mid-morning, a decline based chiefly on weaker bank and housebuilding stocks.
