Branson staff told to smarten up
Staff at a UK company owned by Virgin boss Richard Branson have been told to smarten up.
Workers at Virgin Money – a financial services firm based in Norwich – must stop wearing jeans and T-shirts.
The dress code was launched after England football manager Fabio Capello issued a similar edict to his players this week.
Virgin Money chief executive Jayne-Anne Gadhia has told her 250 staff that “smart casual” is acceptable.
She has not ordered men to wear suits and ties.
Mr Branson, founder of the Virgin business empire, is rarely seen wearing a tie. A photograph on the Virgin Money website shows him in open-neck shirt.
