Iona announces takeover approach

Software company, Iona Technologies has confirmed that it has received a takeover offer.

In a statement, Iona said the approach is at the very early stages and may or may not lead. Accordingly there are no assurances that any transaction will occur.

Shares at Iona were invigorated by the news and shot up 17% to €2.35.
