Public to vote on new coin design
European officials have asked the public to vote on the design of a €2 coin.
The commemorative coin is being commissioned to celebrate the 10-year anniversary of the launch of Economic and Monetary Union (EMU) and the creation of the euro.
The new coin will be issued across the euro-zone at the beginning of next year.
Anyone with suggestions on the new design can vote online at www.eurodesigncontest.eu.
One voter from those who choose the winning design will win a set of valuable euro collector coins. Voting closes on February 22 and the winner will be announced on February 25.
