Hunt appointed as Aer Lingus non-executive director

Colin Hunt has been appointed to the board of Aer Lingus as a non-executive director with immediate effect. Mr Hunt, a nominee of the Minister for Finance Brian Cowan will be designated as “Minister’s Nominee” in accordance with the company's articles of association.

Colin Hunt has been appointed to the board of Aer Lingus as a non-executive director with immediate effect. Mr Hunt, a nominee of the Minister for Finance Brian Cowan will be designated as “Minister’s Nominee” in accordance with the company's articles of association.

Mr Hunt, currently division director at Macquarie Capital, was previously research director and chief economist at Goodbody Stockbrokers, and has served as special adviser to the Ministers for Finance and Transport of Ireland.

Aer Lingus also announced that existing non-executive director Chris Wall, has been designated by the Minister for Finance as a “Minister’s Nominee” on the Board with immediate effect.

The Minister for Finance has also confirmed his intention to re-nominate Mr Francis Hackett as a “Minister’s Nominee” effective from February 9 2008, being the expiry of his current term on the Board.
