Irish tourism figures at record levels

The overall value of tourism revenue in 2007 will be close to a record €6.5bn, according to figures released today by the Irish Tourist Industry Confederation (ITIC).

Overseas visitor numbers also reached record highs in 2007, with the final outcome expected to be close to 7.8 million, 4% up on last year.
