Paisley and McGuinness make joint presentation to Wall Street

The First Minister and deputy First Minister of the Northern Executive, Ian Paisley and Martin McGuinness, have made a joint presentation to an audience of senior business leaders at the New York Stock Exchange earlier today.

The two men attended the American Ireland Fund (AIF) event at the Exchange as the first engagement of an unprecedented investment mission to the US by the Northern Executive.

The visit will culminate with a meeting with US President George Bush at the White House later in the week.

"This display of courageous leadership and unity of purpose by two politicians from different points of the political spectrum in Northern Ireland deserves more than our praise; it deserves our active support as it makes the most compelling case for US investment in Northern Ireland," said AIF chairman Loretta Brennan Glucksman.
