Data Electronics announces €25m investment

IT outsourcing company Data Electronics has announced a €25m investment in the expansion of a new 40,000 sq ft data centre facility in Ballycoolin in Dublin.

The first phase of the new facility, which will have an overall capacity for 100,000 sq ft, will be completed by mid-2008.

The expansion will initially add 10 new people to Data Electronics' workforce and has the potential to double the numbers from 55 to more than 100 when the final phase is completed, the company said today.

Data Electronics recently added a further 1,500 sq ft to its facility in Kilcarbery Park following a €2.5m extension in October 2005.
