ISME has hit out at the 'blasé indifference' of Customs and Excise to the level of consumer products brought into the country by Irish people on foreign shopping trips.

This is having a serious impact on local shops and suppliers who are being undercut and 'losing out' on business to products that are brought into the country without the appropriate taxes and duties.
