Triton showers firm Norcros today said strong demand in the UK helped it to a 49% rise in interim pre-tax profits to £6.1m (€8.5m).

The Wilmslow-based consumer products group, which is also a leading manufacturer of ceramic tiles and adhesives, said UK revenues rose 3.7% to £53.5m (€7.4m), with trading profits up 7.8% to £6.9m (€9.5m).
