Only 10% of public have positive economic outlook

Consumer confidence fell further in October, according to the latest assessment by the ESRI and IIB Bank.

The two organisations say less than 10% of the population has a positive economic outlook for the next 12 months, the lowest level in more than four years.

Consumers' main worries are job losses, the housing market and the building industry.
