Compliance officers to hold conference

The Association of Compliance Officers in Ireland will host the ACOI Fifth Anniversary Conference on Monday, November 26, 2007 at the Westin Hotel in Dublin.

The conference will cover topics such as the 'EU and Irish Regulatory Developments - The strategic implications for the business success of Ireland's financial services sector '

EU Commissioner for the Internal Market and Services Charlie McCreevy will speak on the implications for Compliance under the theme 'The blueprint for the development of European financial services - The legislative and regulatory programme'.

The chair panel will include Chairman of the ACOI and head of Corporate Services Sean Wade, Friends First Mr Dermot Gleeson, chairman with Allied Irish Banks William Slattery, executive vice president of State Street Corporation and country head of State Street in Ireland Denis Casey.

Also attending will be group chief executive of Irish Life & Permanent plc Deirdre Somers, chief executive of the Irish Stock Exchange Alan Dukes, director general for the Institute of European Affairs Patrick Neary, chief executive of the Financial Regulator.
