Babycare retailer Mothercare today said sales were boosted in a “strong” second quarter after completing the £85m (€121.8m) takeover of the Early Learning Centre.

Babycare retailer Mothercare today said sales were boosted in a “strong” second quarter after completing the £85m (€121.8m) takeover of the Early Learning Centre.

The group posted a 3.4% hike in like-for-like UK sales, with Mothercare store sales up 3.9% and Early Learning Centre sales ahead by 1.9%.
