Jobs threat as Aviva plans €500m cost cuts

Aviva, the parent group of Hibernian Group and Norwich Union, has today announced plans to slash annual costs by €500m across Europe.

The insurance giant said it was unclear at this stage how staff would be affected by the move, but confirmed job cuts were under consideration.
