EMC wins Microsoft contract
EMC Corporation, the information infrastructure solutions firm, have announced that it has won the contract to offer technology solutions and consulting in support of Microsoft's Office Communications Server 2007.
"EMC’s customers want to be able to get to their information, from any place, any time, on a variety of hardware platforms, and to be able to share and store it easily and securely," says John Hollinger, Vice President and General Manager of the EMC Microsoft Practice, EMC Global Services.
EMC established a presence in Ireland in 1988 with its first manufacturing facility outside of North America in Ovens, Cork.
It then formed its Dublin based sales office in 1990.
EMC now employs over 1,500 people in Ireland between both sites.
