The United Auto Workers union and Chrysler remained locked in negotiations this morning as workers in Detroit prepared for the picket lines.

The UAW set a deadline of 11am EDT (4pm Irish Time) today to reach a tentative agreement with Chrysler LLC or have thousands of workers walk off the job.
