Energia wins JCDecaux contract
Electricity supplier Energia has won the contract to supply outdoor advertising firm, JCDecaux, with electricity to 25 of its outdoor advertising sites.
The electricity requirement will be supplied to JCDecaux from Energia’s energy portfolio, which includes its 343MW gas fired power station in North Dublin.
Energia supplies power to businesses, commercial and industrial markets offering competitive prices and currently has a 25% market share in the business electricity market on an all-island basis.
JCDecaux employs 60 people in Ireland and has three offices located in Dublin, Belfast and Wexford.
The company was founded by Jean-Claude Decaux in 1964.
A member of the Viridian Group, Energia sources power from the Group’s power station at Huntstown in Dublin.
The Viridian Group is currently investing in a second power plant at Huntstown which will bring its investment in the Republic of Ireland to €500m, providing around 22% of the State’s total electricity requirements.
Energia has offices in Dublin, Galway, Cork, Belfast and Omagh.
