Former CEO of ISEQ to head Abu Dhabi stock exchange

The board of the Abu Dhabi Securities Market (ADSM) has appointed former chief executive of the Irish stock exchange, Tom Healy, as director general.

Mr Healy, aged 57, is Irish and was head of the Irish exchange for twenty years, from February 1987 to June 2007.

Mr Healy has carried out numerous consultancy and advisory assignments internationally, mainly on capital markets, including for the World Bank, the European Union and USAID.

He has also served on a number of boards and committees in Ireland.

He was involved in the World Federation of Exchanges and the Federation of European Securities Exchanges.
