Dublin City Council is set to vote on increasing the minimum size of new apartments.

Dublin City Council is set to vote on increasing the minimum size of new apartments.

A decision is due on whether to force developers to expand proportions by up to 20%.

The regulations will apply to floor size, ceiling height, storage and play areas and will reduce the number of one-bedroom apartments allowed in new developments to 20% of total homes.

The council says it expects nine out of 10 new homes built in Dublin will be apartments.
