One in three foreign tourists use B&Bs and guesthouses while holidaying in Ireland, according to a group that promotes the sector.

One in three foreign tourists use B&Bs and guesthouses while holidaying in Ireland, according to a group that promotes the sector.

The Town and Country Homes Association says B&Bs are worth €300m to the economy annually, despite fears that they were losing out to hotels.

The accommodation is most popular with visitors from America, Australia and continental Europe.
