London Stock Exchange shareholders have given their support for its £1.6bn (€2.36bn) takeover of Borsa Italiana.

London Stock Exchange shareholders have given their support for its £1.6bn (€2.36bn) takeover of Borsa Italiana.

The deal, which is due to be completed in October, will pave the way for the LSE to enter into the FTSE 100 Index for the first time in its history.
