Millennium Hotel boss quits

Hotels group Millennium & Copthorne today announced its chief executive had left the firm after less than six months in the job.

The group, which owns 112 hotels worldwide, said Peter Papadimitropoulos had left “by mutual consent with immediate effect” but did not provide further details.

His appointment in March marked the end of a lengthy search to replace former chief executive Tony Potter, who left for family reasons. He will be the third chief executive to leave the company in three years.

Surrey-based M&C said it had already begun searching for a replacement and had appointed executive director Wong Hong Ren as interim chief executive.
