Ryanair boosts other airlines in the UK

Ryanair's better-than-expected results and increased full-year profits forecasts have given a lift to other airline stocks on the FTSE, including British Airways and fellow budget carrier easyJet.

Panmure Gordon analyst Gert Zonneveld added that there could be more good news to come from the carrier.

He said: “Ryanair is usually very cautious in its profit guidance, particularly early in the year, and we would anticipate the profit guidance to move upwards during the year as the revenue visibility improves.”
